Phantasm Of You

Alone I sat admiring Juniper leaves
A raindrop kissed my parted lips,
Gentle stirrings of your
caffeine-like musings
that lovingly scurry my idle beats
Weaving a tale of your affection
That held steady,
unreservedly,
just for me
Only for me...

I blinked and woke to my verdant field
And found you absent from that blissful scene
A phantom face; a random chance
You came, you went
Like wind you touched
What had stayed aloof
A facet of self hitherto unseen
I swayed with you
Turning and crashing
On your Undulating love
Your waving rush on every shore,
A foam of joy for the whole
That all but stayed never with me.
