Home

Home – by yours truly.

The feet, they have traveled
too far from Home
To the peak of Wants hiked
in wistful boots,
No longer a little girl clinging
to Mama’s sturdy Roots,
but the Heart curtailed by walls
wearing a coat of ambitious hopes
still beats the same for Winds
that sing my Old country songs,
Dressed in bucolic garbs
my memories flock
On days that fail to stave off
growing pangs of solitude.
