You left
as if
we never had a tomorrow

your sunshine
now forever on hold

All that’s left
behind is
my marrow

Slowly withering
in this
vacuous cold

Mining through
depths of
petrified sorrow,

Now this anguish
is turning
my dust into gold.

    1. Yeah…it was a really bitter divorce in my head! She got the kids, the house, the car and, even the dog! While he was left marinating in the pain and writing poetry late into the night. But I gave him a happy ending… because he ended up becoming a successful writer! 😁
